Two people are dead after a single-vehicle crash in the Chicago suburb of Elgin that occured early Saturday. The accident happened shortly after midnight on the 1100 block of Forest Drive, when a vehicle carrying three people left the roadway and crashed into a tree. The force of the impact required rescue workers to extricate two of the people from inside of the vehicle. All three of the vehicle's occupants were transported to Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, where two of them were later declared deceased.
