Three hurt in I-90 crash near Hoffman Estates

Three people were sent to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after a two-car crash closed four lanes of traffic on I-90 just east of the Barrington Road exit near Hoffman Estates. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, and the third Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. The crash happened at 12:53 p.m. and the lanes were reopened to traffic at about 1:46 p.m. Sergio Ortiz said both cars were driving west when one made a lane change in front of the other, causing the crash.
