Investigators said Serio was driving westbound on Route 176 near Franklinville Road when he swerved to avoid an eastbound vehicle involved in another crash that had traveled into his lane.

The Peterbilt semi struck the Dodge before overturning, spilling its load and skidding over the westbound lane, hitting several trees and landing on the side of the road.
