Illinois State Trooper Struck By Drunk Driver During Separate DUI Investigation

ISP reminds the public of the requirements of the Move Over Law, also known as Scott’s Law. When approaching an emergency vehicle, or any vehicle with their emergency or hazard lights activated, drivers are required to slow down and move over. 

Police: ISP trooper struck by DUI driver while assisting separate DUI crash

Police say an ISP District 6 Trooper was in a fully marked stationary squad car with the emergency lights activated, assisting the Bloomington Police Department with a DUI investigation when a Volkswagen Utility vehicle struck the rear end of the ISP squad car.
