ISP said the southbound lanes of I-65 closed for around three hours to clear the crash. A roving construction crew was making repairs to the road around 2:30 a.m.
At about 9:20 p.m., a southbound semi-truck on I-65 driven by Robert Young Jr., 65, rear-ended a pickup truck driven by Richard Blum, which initiated a chain-reaction crash. Blum's pickup truck was propelled into the rear of a sedan driven by Erin Murphy, 23, which was then pushed and pinned underneath the back of a semi-truck driven by Azrikam Yisrael, 64.
