Police: Child killed, 9 people hurt in Waterloo collision

Police say a minivan carrying nine people collided at an intersection with a pickup truck occupied by only its driver. Police Chief Dan Trelka says several children were among the injured.

Black Hawk County District Court records say 37-year-old Derrick Johnson was sentenced Monday. He'd been found guilty of vehicular homicide while intoxicated. He also was ordered to pay restitution of $150,000.
