Teen driver dies in Carter County crash
Fankell was driving a Pontiac Firebird east on Ky. 1444 when he lost control of the car, which went over an embankment and struck a tree. The crash happened shortly before 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Carter County. Alcohol was not suspected as a factor, state police said.
