A preliminary investigation showed that as the vehicle traveled south on Cairo Road, it traveled off the right side of the road, struck a tree, rolled multiple times, struck two more trees, and stopped in a field.
Paducah man dies after truck crashes on Cairo Road
Deputies arrived at the scene to find a truck with heavy damage in a field, the sheriff’s office said. The adult male driver was ejected from the truck in the crash, and Mercy Regional EMS responders took him via ambulance to a local hospital. But, the sheriff’s office said, the man’s injuries were incapacitating, and he ultimately died because of the crash.

The driver, 63-year-old David Skinner had been ejected from the vehicle, according to sheriff’s deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office. He had incapacitating injuries and was taken by Mercy Regional EMS to a local hospital.
