Louisiana State Police say 57-year-old Joey Dunaway, of Kokomo, Mississippi, died shortly before 11 a.m. Monday. Investigators say the crash happened as Dunaway's log truck was traveling south on Louisiana 62 and failed to maneuver a left curve and ran off the west side of the highway.

The truck rolled onto its right side before combusting. Dunaway was declared dead at the scene of the crash, but police are still trying to determine if alcohol was a factor.
