Gorham woman charged in fatal Bridgton crash

A Gorham woman who was driving when her car crashed, killing her 16-year-old son and her boyfriend, in October has been charged with manslaughter and operating under the influence of intoxicants.

Branden Denis, 16,  of Gorham, and Eric S. Morey, 35, of Portland, were killed when a car driving south on Route 302 near the Naples town line crashed at 5:50 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle, driven by Candice L. Tucker, 35, of Gorham, was traveling south on Route 302 passing other cars at a high speed when it lost control, went off the road and hit several trees. The two victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Tucker received treatment for minor injuries at Bridgton Hospital. The preliminary investigation indicates that the high rate of speed was a contributing factor to the accident.
