Raymond Thompson, 68, and Peggy Aldrich, 70, both of Whitinsville, Mass., were headed north on Atlantic Highway when their 2014 Mitsubishi was struck head-on by a 2007 Dodge Caliber driven by 63-year-old Edward Bean of Waldoboro, Waldoboro Police Chief Bill Labombarde said Friday. Bean’s car had crossed into the northbound lane.
Thompson and Aldrich were declared dead at the scene.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is reconstructing the crash, which remains under investigation, Labombarde said Monday.
No charges have been filed, according to Labombarde.
