Witnesses told police that an Avalon was northbound on Route 3 when it struck a pedestrian standing in the roadway just north of Crossgate Drive. The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene by Fire Department personnel and was taken to the Medical Examiner’s office in Baltimore for autopsy.
