Police said in a statement that Blackshear was traveling on Laurel Bowie Road, south of Powder Mill Road, when he swerved into opposing traffic and was hit by a Honda CRV.

The preliminary investigation reveals Blackshear was traveling southbound on Laurel Bowie Road when he veered into an oncoming lane of traffic to avoid hitting a stopped car. Blackshear collided with a Honda CRV that was heading northbound.

Blackshear was taken to the hospital in grave condition where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.
Blackshear was riding a motorcycle on Laurel Bowie Road when he tried to swerve around a car that was stopped ahead of him. Unfortunately, he swerved into the path of an oncoming SUV, was struck by it, and killed.
