4 injured in aircraft crash
A small, single-engine airplane veered off the runway while landing at Barnstable Municipal Airport Sunday afternoon and crashed through a fence, injuring all four of its passengers, according to Katie Servis, assistant airport manager.
The private plane, a Cirrus SR22, swerved for an unknown reason, made a nearly 90-degree turn, shot across a taxiway and crashed through the fence before coming to a halt in a parking lot used by multiple rental car companies, she said.
