Driver slightly injured after their SUV crashes into a house in Essex County. No one in the house was injured.

The driver of a Isuzu Trooper was taken to the hospital after crashing into a home, Monday morning.

Police say the driver was waiting to make a turn when they were hit by a Honda Civic and continued into the Walnut Street home.

Two people were on the second floor of the home at the time. No one was injured.

The driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and has been released from the hospital. There’s no word on whether that person will be cited.

Police say the home is being inspected but it appears the foundation of the home was not damaged.
