Tonnecia Long, a senior at the Russell School in Brockton, was walking home from a convenience store at the time of the accident.
A 17-year-old girl died from injuries she suffered when she was struck by a trailer truck in Crawford Square in Randolph Thursday, police said.
Tonnecia Long, 17, of South Street in Randolph died at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She suffered multiple trauma and a serious head injury in the accident, police said.
The Randolph Police Chief said Long was stuck by the rear wheels of the trailer unit while it was moving.
Long was a senior at the Russell School in Brockton. She was walking home from a convenience store at the time of the accident, police said.
The accident is under investigation. Pace said they are looking into whether Long may have been distracted at the time of the accident.
