Keating is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on charges of motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence of drugs, negligent driving and improper driving. It could not be determined if he has a lawyer.
Dorazil Vitezslav, 82, of Waltham, was struck and killed while on his daily walk by James Keating, 33, who was on drugs when he hit Vitezslav. The accident occured in Waltham, Massachusets around 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 15 on Forest Street, near Bentley University. Vitezslav was unconscious at the scene and flown to Boston hospital, where he died. Keating faces charges of motor vehicle homocide while under the influence, negligent driving, and improper driving at his arraignment on Thursday.
