Passenger in car driven by Sean Foster in critical condition at Baystate following Sunday morning Amherst crash

A passenger injured in an early Sunday morning car crash on North East Street is in critical condition at Baystate Medical Center where he was taken after the crash.

One man still in critical condition after alleged drunk driving accident in Amherst early Sunday morning

A Bolton man allegedly operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol was arrested and one of his passengers remains in critical condition at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield following an early Sunday morning crash on North East Street, police said.

Sean M. Foster was driving a car with 4 passengers on North East Street in Amherst when the vehicle struck a utility pole and crashed. John E. Lyons, one of the passengers, was critically injured and transported to Baystate Medical Center. A third passenger, Luke Puleo, suffered minor injuries and was treated. Foster and passengers Kevin Buettner, 21, and Benjamin Dufour, 21, and were not injured in the crash. Foster is facing a variety of charges including operating under the influence, marked lanes violations and speeding.
