Harris' girlfriend, Deangela Sims, said she dropped him off at his work truck that morning, and that was the last time she saw him alive. "He was a truck driver," she said. "He drives back and forth to Flint."
Demetrius Dupree Harris, 30, of Saginaw was hauling scrap in a pickup with a trailer when his vehicle exited the roadway and hit a tree around 9:30 a.m. January 9 on southbound I-75. The roadway was icy at the time of the crash. The funeral for Harris is pending.
