Victim of Fruitport Township fatal crash identified

 After the accident, Giant's car could be seen right-side-up in the yard of an unoccupied home on the intersection's southwest corner.
Glen Giant, 75, of Fruitport, died in a two-vehicle collision on Saturday, March 7, at Mount Garfield and Quarterline roads around 1:30 p.m. Giant driving a sedan southbound on Quarterline. He stopped for the stop sign but then drove into the path of a Ford pickup that was westbound on Mount Garfield. The crash killed Giant and injured his wife, Joan Giant. She was reported in stable condition after the accident. The driver of the pickup, Patrick Stewart, suffered minor injuries.
