Deputies in Ottawa County say a woman was injured in a crash with a semi-truck Monday.
SUV collides with semi-truck near Marne
A missed turn caused a SUV to collide with a semi-truck near Marne.
At around 10:00 a.m. in Tallmadge Township in Ottowa County, Lisa Peterson was eastbound on Ironwood when she made a left turn onto northbound 8th Ave. She apparently drove too far into the intersection and backed up in the turn lane before proceeding to drive underneath a semi-trailer that was westbound on Ironwood. At this point her vehicle was caught in the rear axle of the trailer, and the semi ran over the front of her car. Peterson was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
