Lisa Peterson, 47, seriously injured after her SUV is caught underneath semi on Ironwood Drive and 8th Street in Tallmadge Township, Michigan

At around 10:00 a.m. in Tallmadge Township in Ottowa County, Lisa Peterson was eastbound on Ironwood when she made a left turn onto northbound 8th Ave. She apparently drove too far into the intersection and backed up in the turn lane before proceeding to drive underneath a semi-trailer that was westbound on Ironwood. At this point her vehicle was caught in the rear axle of the trailer, and the semi ran over the front of her car. Peterson was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
