State Patrol Investigates Fatal Crash Between Car, Utility Vehicle in Douglas County(link is external)
The state patrol says a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am was heading northwest on Highway 55 and a John Deere Gator utility vehicle was heading southeast on Highway 55. The utility vehicle turned to go east down a side road and crossed in front of the Pontiac, and the two vehicles collided, the state patrol says.

Killed was a 45-year-old Hoffman man driving the Gator, the State Patrol. His name was to be released Sunday afternoon, but the patrol said he was not wearing a helmet.
Injured in the car were a 21-year-old Kensington man who was driving and his two young passengers, whose hometowns were not known.
