Head-on collision on Highway 53 shuts down part of highway
According to Harrison County Sheriff Matt Haley, two cars were involved in a head-on wreck at Highway 53 and South Mills Road in front of Mississippi Mercantile Company and Dollar General. No deaths were reported, but a life-flight helicopter is arriving on the scene to take the injured to the hospital.
