Ice-covered road blamed for Wednesday morning crash in Marion County

Marion County Slick road conditions are being blamed for an accident Wednesday morning in Marion County that left two women with moderate injuries. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the mishap happened at 7:45 a.m. Dec. 30 on U.S. 24, three miles east of Taylor. A 2000 Chevrolet Astro van, driven by 61-year-old Rebecca A. Crouch of Maywood, was reportedly stopped in the median when 54-year-old Kristine A. Kennedy of Canton lost control of the 2006 Lincoln pickup she was operating on the ice-covered highway and struck the van.
