East St. Louis woman dies in three-vehicle crash
Bush and Dae were in a 2013 Nissan at the intersection when a man driving a black Monte Carlo east on Bond struck their vehicle, said East St. Louis Assistant Chief R.O. Ike. Ike said the man was driving recklessly.
Police say they have a 30-year-old man in custody in a fatal crash Sunday night in East St. Louis. Helen Bush, 86, of East St. Louis, was killed in the crash about 7 p.m. at 17th Street and Bond Avenue, police say. Another woman, Teenette Dae, 72, of East St. Louis, was critically injured and was being treated at St. Louis University Hospital. Bush and Dae were in a 2013 Nissan at the intersection when a man driving a black Monte Carlo east on Bond struck their vehicle, said East St. Louis Assistant Chief R.O. Ike. Ike said the man was driving recklessly. He did not know who was driving the Nissan. Another car also was struck in the crash but no one in that vehicle was seriously hurt.
