This was the eleventh traffic-related death in Henderson this year, Richards said.
A 72-year-old Henderson woman has died after a Saturday pedestrian accident. Janice Thelma Hutchison was crossing Green Valley Parkway about 6:45 p.m. Saturday when she was hit by a 2005 Hyundai sedan traveling southbound. Hutchison was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in critical condition, and died of her injuries later that night. The 88-year-old driver of the Hyundai was not injured in the accident. Preliminary investigation indicates that neither alcohol nor speed were factors in the crash.
What every family needs to know about wrongful death claims
When someone dies as the result of an accident, family members must make many decisions, and a wrongful death claim often needs to be filed.
In Las Vegas and across Nevada, a claim can be filed only by certain family members, but there are strict requirements and deadlines that must be met. It is critically important to speak with a wrongful death lawyer in Las Vegas(link is external) to get information on a victim’s rights and options.
