A pedestrian is dead and part of Jones Boulevard is closed after a west valley crash, according to Las Vegas police.
PD: Jaywalking suspected in pedestrian fatality
According to police, a 63-year-old man was crossing Jones outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a silver PT Cruiser. The victim was pronounced dead at University Medical Center Trauma.

The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the victim as James W. Buecker, 63, of Las Vegas.
