The crash was reported at 5:49 p.m. on West Park Avenue in Ocean Township, according to a news release from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. The man was crossing the busy road when he was hit by a minivan that was entering the middle lane, authorities said.

Authorities have identified the 68-year-old man struck and killed by a minivan Tuesday evening in Monmouth County. Yefim Rotsenmar was hit crossing West Park Avenue in Ocean Township when he was hit by a vehicle entering the middle lane just before 5:50 p.m., the prosecutor’s office said.
