Passenger killed when she’s thrown from pickup in 2-vehicle I-295 crash
A pickup and passenger vehicle were traveling north on the interstate in West Deptford shortly before 7 p.m. when the passenger vehicle hit the rear of the pickup near milepost 19.8, police said. The pickup ran off the highway, hit a guardrail and overturned. A passenger in the truck, Cassandra Ashmeade, 38, of Philadelphia, was thrown from the vehicle and died of her injuries, police said.
