Based on the investigation, a 48-year-old Hamburg man was traveling south in a GMC pick-up truck when his vehicle struck two people crossing Route 23 in the area of 2910 Route 23 South, Crystal Brook Residence, Kratzel said.

The victims, who were pronounced dead at the scene shortly afterward, have since been identified as David Rackley, 50, of Long Valley, and Andrei Gross, 70, of Madison.
