Not only did Adam Alexander who was driving the jeep Cherokee. Was also driving while intoxicated. Driving at high rates of speed reported by 2 different witness's one said he was driving in excess of 100 mph and second reported he passed them on a blind turn double yellow line at least doing 80 mph. I was witness to this tragic crash a Husband and father of 4 3 of his own and one adopted child. And left a wife that loved him more then anyone could imagine. His life was taken in a matter of just a few feet in front of me and another close friend riding behind me on his motorcycle. He never even hit his brakes he hit jason Smith doing atleast 70 MPH. He refused the breathalyzer test failed the field sobriety test and was forced to go to the hospital for a blood alcohol test. This man showed no remorse for his actions he even tried to return to his jeep and leave the scene and the 4 sheriffs immediately detained him. The court system has failed us. He was released 10 days later on his own recognizance no bail and is currently awaiting trial. At his Court plea hearing he had the nerve to say he was a model citizen and pleaded not guilty to both charges and the courts thought it was a good idea to let him free!!!!
