A Buffalo man who died after crashing through a guardrail on Humboldt Parkway and landing on Route 33 below was being pursued by NFTA Police.

Man killed when car plunged onto 33 from above.

One man has been killed in an accident that happened shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday. A car plowed through a guardrail at Humboldt Parkway and Woodlawn Ave. and plunged onto Rte. 33 below. The vehicle then burst into flames.
One man has been killed in an accident that happened shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday. A car plowed through a guardrail at Humboldt Parkway and Woodlawn Ave. and plunged onto State Route 33 below. The vehicle then burst into flames. Buffalo Police stated that two cars were racing down Main Street before one car went the wrong way on Woodlawn Ave. and eventually crashed through the guardrail at Humboldt. Emergency responders tried to rescue the driver but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The other vehicle also crashed and that driver is being questioned by police. The 33 remained closed for nine hours in both directions between Best St. and the 198 as emergency crews cleaned the scene. The deceased man was later identified as Kevin Wayne Brown, 47.
