Byron man dies after being hit by a train
New York State Police say 60-year-old David Swinton was near the train tracks around 10:30 a.m. when it happened.
An early investigation shows Swinton was a hunter and was photographing some deer in the area.
Authorities do not know exactly how he was hit but believe he was standing closely to the tracks near the overpass at Rt. 237.
Police say Swinton’s death is a tragic accident.
