Cops: Bay Shore woman crossing the street fatally struck by car
Suffolk County police's Vehicular Crime Unit is investigating a crash that killed a woman walking in Bay Shore on Tuesday night.
66-year-old Ishwer Wadhwa was crossing 5th Avenue at about 8:47 p.m. when she was struck by car driven by Jerson Ventura, 32, who was traveling north. Venture properly reported the accident, and Wadhwa was declared dead at the scene by a physician's assistant from the medical examiner's office.
