Fusaro and the man driving the Dodge were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where they were treated for minor non-life-threatening injuries.
36-year-old Michael Fusaro was exiting a gas station parking lot at about 3:15 p.m. when he improperly drove over a snowbank into the southbound lanes of Deer Park Avenue and then over the concrete median into the northbound lanes. There he collided with northbound car before he continued across the lanes and finally came to rest after crashing into a nail salon off of the road. Both Fusaro and the driver of the other car sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital, though Fusaro has been arrested for DUI and possesion of drugs.
