Officers responded to a call about a pedestrian being struck by a box truck around 9:15 a.m. in the Far Rockaways neighborhood of Queens.

Surveillance video captured near the intersection shows the man trying to cross the street while the truck waits at a red light. The truck then pulls ahead, running over the man and dragging him some distance before coming to a stop.
