UPDATE: State worker from Little Falls killed in Thruway accident; driver to face charges
Police say 31 year old Matthew Jarvinen was in possession of prescriptions that were not his when they say he struck and killed a Thruway maintenance worker.
Polce say the investigation showed that two tow trucks were on the shoulder of the Thruway eastbound between Exit 30 and 29A in the Town of Danube, along with a Thruway maintenance truck, removing a vehicle involved in a previous accident.
Around 8:15 a.m., a Ford Escape swiped one of the tow trucks and then struck Ronald Deming, 58, of Little Falls, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deming's funeral is scheduled for 11am on Thursday at Holy Family Parish Church at the corner of Main and John Streets in Little Falls.
