School Activity Bus Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer In Rockingham Co.
The call involving the crash came in just before 3:30 p.m. Monday involving a Western Rockingham Middle Activity School bus.
Emergency crews said students were on the bus at the time of the crash.

Bus Driver Praised As Hero In Semi Crash
The school system said 42 students were on the bus at the time of the crash. Two coaches were also on the bus. Coach Darryl Thomas was driving the bus but was not injured.
Troopers said Thomas saw the tractor-trailer coming and began to move to the right to avoid a head on collision.
