Pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a pickup truck on 11th Avenue S in Wahpeton, North Dakota

A dark colored, ¾ – 1 ton pickup with a loud exhaust was traveling eastbound on 11th Ave S when the pickup struck a female pedestrian that was walking along the south side of the roadway. The pick-up then fled the scene, traveling eastbound on 11th Ave S and then turned northbound on one of the streets to the east of the crash scene (4th, 3rd, 2nd or 1st St S or 182nd Ave SE).
