ND driver with children in car charged with DUI after crash

A North Dakota woman accused of driving under the influence is facing a number of charges after she hit a traffic light pole while her four children were in her vehicle. The 26-year-old Brittany Hale, of Bismarck, has been charged with DUI while accompanied by a minor, reckless endangerment and criminal vehicular injury. Authorities say Hale's blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit when her vehicle left the road and hit the pole Sunday in Bismarck. Court records show she told a witness that she was "texting and driving" and didn't see where she was going.
