A Muldrow woman riding on a motorcycle died in a crash Tuesday in Sequoyah County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

A Muldrow woman riding on a motorcycle died in a crash Tuesday in Sequoyah County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

Peggy Sue Taylor, 63, died in the wreck about 7:40 p.m. on U.S. 59, about 3 miles south of Sallisaw.

Taylor was riding on a motorcycle driven by Jimmie Lovell, 72, of Muldrow. Lovell was taken to Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, Ark., where he was admitted with internal and external trunk injuries, the patrol reported.

Lovell was driving north on U.S. 59 when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the roadway and into a ditch. The patrol reported Lovell was impaired from drinking. Neither rider wore a helmet, the patrol reported.
