William Walkup, 75, of Sapulpa, was driving a pickup westbound on State Highway 33 Sunday morning when it spun out and hit an oncoming SUV, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

A man died Sunday morning after his pickup hit a sport utility vehicle in Creek County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
About 9:20 a.m., William Walkup, 75, of Sapulpa, was driving westbound on State Highway 33 near 193 West Avenue. The pickup spun out on the slick road and crossed left of center. It hit a sport utility vehicle in the eastbound lanes driven by Michael Scalf, 42, of Bixby, troopers said.
Walkup died at the scene. Scalf was taken to a Tulsa hospital for treatment, troopers said.
