Washington County officials have identified the two people who sustained life-threatening injuries in a crash near Sherwood Friday evening as a pair of cousins from the Seattle area, 25-year-old Morgan McFarland and 17-year-old Leah McFarland.

The Washington County Sheriff’s office said today that the driver, 25-year-old Morgan McFarland, is hospitalized in critical condition. The condition of 17-year-old passenger Leah McFarland isn’t known. The women are from the Seattle area and are cousins.
The crash occurred about 6 p.m. Friday, when McFarland lost control of her Honda Civic and collided with a Dodge Durango. The driver of the Durango was not injured .
Investigators say McFarland was speeding when the crash occurred.
