Tualatin man dies in Salem motorcycle crash

Oregon State Police say 53-year old David Leary Schneller of Tualatin lost control of his Harley Davidson bike Friday night while passing other vehicles on Interstate 5 at about 90 to 95 miles per hour.

Authorities have identified the Oregon motorcycle rider who died after a high speed crash on the highway in Salem.

A state trooper who witnessed the crash saw the rider being ejected from the motorcycle as it crashed in the center northbound lane.

The trooper initiated emergency medical care and administered CPR until paramedics arrived, but the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police say Schneller was wearing a protective helmet.
