An autopsy on the bicyclist struck and killed by a tanker truck in Monroe Township earlier Thursday is scheduled for Friday, according to the Cumberland County Coroner.
An autopsy on the bicyclist struck and killed by a tanker truck in Monroe Township earlier Thursday is scheduled for Friday, according to the Cumberland County Coroner.
Coroner Charles Hall announced Thursday afternoon that an autopsy of the bicyclist, David Ray Wilson, 41, of Mechanicsburg, is scheduled to take place Friday to determine his exact cause of death. The collision took place at roughly 1:19 p.m. at the intersection of York and Old Stonehouse roads in Monroe Township, state police reported.
State police previously released the identities of both Wilson and the driver of the truck, 58-year-old Shermans Dale resident Michael J. Spangle Sr. A collision reconstruction crew was still working the scene at the intersection as of Thursday afternoon, said Trooper Robert Hicks, a state police spokesman.
