A 4-year-old was killed and a school bus driver and second pupil injured Wednesday morning when their bus collided with a tractor-trailer on a rural two-lane road in Aiken County.
A school bus was traveling north on Beech Island Avenue near Scarborough Avenue when it collided with a semi traveling in the southbound lane. Eight students were on the bus at the time, and one of them, Kyrie C. Henry, was killed in the crash. The bus driver, Barbara Moore, sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized. The driver of the semi was not injured.
