Charleston police looking for dark-colored car in pedestrian hit-and-run

The Charleston Police Department is asking the public for help in locating a dark-colored, possibly black, Dodge Challenger or Charger that may have been involved in a hit-and-run collision with a pedestrian on King Street at approximately 11:30 p.m. Friday night. Police spokesman Charles Francis issued a news release this morning saying the vehicle was last seen traveling north on King Street toward Mt. Pleasant Street.

Charleston Police are searching for a suspect possibly involved in a hit and run collision with a pedestrian in downtown Charleston late Friday night.

On Friday, September 19th around 11:30 PM, a Hit & Run collision took place in area of King St & Simons St. The collision resulted in serious injuries to a pedestrian. 
Police are asking the public for their help to find the driver of a dark-colored Dodge Challenger or Charger. The vehicle should have front-end damage and may be missing a headlight. If you have information about the vehicle or the driver, please call Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111 or Charleston Police Sgt. Matt Wojslawowicz at 843-965-4084.
