It happened around 2:30 a.m. on I-26 East at the 131 mile marker. Troopers say the driver of a pickup truck crashed into the rear of a dump truck.
One Dead After I-26 Accident in Calhoun County
Troopers say a 2009 GMC Pickup Truck and 1999 Kenworth Dump Truck were traveling east on Interstate 26 when the pickup truck ran into the rear of the dump truck.
Orangeburg man dies in wreck
Timothy Johnson, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene, Porth said. Johnson was the only occupant of the pickup truck. Wimberly said the driver was not wearing a seat belt.
