Two firefighters injured in single car crash while on their way to accident scene in Oconee County.

Two firefighters were injured Tuesday night when they crashed on their way to the scene of an accident, according to Fire Chief Charlie King.

King said that at approximately 10:20 pm, two Oconee County Emergency Services firefighters were in a personal vehicle on their way to the scene of an accident in the Friendship Community when their vehicle crashed.

King said one firefighter was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital and admitted. The other firefighter was treated on the scene for minor injuries.

Oconee County Emergency Services responded to more than 40 weather-related incidents overnight Tuesday, King said.
