Coroner releases name of teen killed in motorcycle crash
Fowler said Salters was returning home from visiting friends in Charlotte.
Raymond Edmund Salters of Lyman sustained fatal injuries when his motorcycle crashed into a guardrail at about 11:20 p.m. on SC Highway 55 near Highway 5, which is about 6 miles south of Blacksburg. Salters was thrown from the bike. The teen was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, where he died early Monday. He was wearing a helmet.
